Tuesday, March 3 | 7:30 - 8:45 pm
The 2026 mParks Student Showcase proudly features four outstanding emerging professionals who represent the future of the parks and recreation field. Each brings a unique background, fresh perspective, and deep passion for strengthening communities through parks, programs, and outdoor experiences. Together, they embody the energy, innovation, and leadership that will shape the next generation of our profession.
This year’s theme, Rethink. Reinvent. Reignite. Inspiring Parks. Empowering People., challenges students to explore how fresh thinking and renewed purpose can move the profession forward. Through their presentations, these students will share how they are rethinking traditional approaches, reinventing services and spaces through creativity and problem-solving, and reigniting passion in themselves and the communities they serve. Their insights reflect not only where parks and recreation are today, but where they are headed: toward more inclusive, innovative, and empowering experiences for Michigan communities.
In addition to these showcase presenters, many other talented students will be volunteering throughout the 2026 mParks Conference & Trade Show. These students are eager to learn, connect, and contribute to the profession. We encourage conference attendees to take the time to introduce themselves, start conversations, and invest in these future leaders. By engaging with them today, you help strengthen and inspire the next generation of parks and recreation professionals.
