Women in Recreation Education & Development

WIRED, a sub-committee of the mParks Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee, provides professional development workshops and opportunities several times a year, typically during the Annual mParks Conference, as well as during the spring and fall.

  • Winter 2018 - Pre-Conference Session featuring Michigan's sitting Secretary of State, Detroit
  • Spring 2018 - Raise Your Voice - A Public Speaking Workshop - Foster Center, Lansing
  • Fall 2018 - LeadHERship Workshop - Grand Rapids Public Library, Grand Rapids
  • Fall 2019 - Up, Up and Away! A Day In the Trees  - Whiting Forest of Dow Gardens
