mParks - Michigan Recreation and Park Association - is the leading advocacy organization in Michigan dedicated to the advancement of public spaces, recreation and natural resources. We are committed to providing resources and professional development opportunities for park and recreation agencies, professionals, citizen advocates and industry suppliers, to increase the value of our industry within the State of Michigan.

MEMBER BENEFITS

 

Agency Membership

The Agency Membership is welcome to all Parks & Recreation Departments and Senior Centers. This all-inclusive membership provides membership for ALL employees in a chosen employee tier up to 10 Board and Commission members and a complimentary job-poster membership with access to post to the mParks Career Center. The Agency includes a variety of benefits, including access to grant funding, weekly email newsletters, as well as discounted fees for professional development workshops and participation in special mParks events and programs. Also included are special Conference sessions and access, complimentary access to mParks publications and curriculum (varies), features on the mParks website and in mParks publications, and much more!

Individual Professional Membership

Professional Memberships provide a multitude of benefits for supporters or those in the parks and recreation industry whose department or employer is not a mParks agency member. Each professional membership type includes one professional membership and basic membership benefits. $150.

 

Ally Membership

The Ally membership includes two options: Individual Ally and Organizational Ally. Individual Ally is available to any part-time or seasonal employees, retirees, or individuals who have an interest in parks, open space, recreation, leisure, travel or trails, but whose primary source of employment may not be in parks and recreation. Those with full time positions with parks and recreation departments in Michigan do not qualify. Organizational Ally is available to Libraries, Non-Profits, Universities and Friends Groups. Universities may also include their parks and recreation students under their membership for no additional fee.

Student Membership

Parks and recreation students, or students in a similar or related field of study attending a non-member university are eligible for this membership type. Students will have access to the Career Center where parks and recreation jobs are posted frequently as well as access to parks and recreation networking opportunities. $35.
