Jasmine is an artist whose work is deeply influenced by God, the African American experience, color, nature, and natural light. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, she is a broadcast journalist by trade and an artist at heart. By blending visual art with storytelling, Jasmine creates impactful narratives across a variety of mediums, using her unique ability to convey emotion in ways that resonate universally. Through her work, she seeks to share the beautiful complexity of underrepresented people and communities. Her goal is to be remembered as a well-rounded and influential artist who captured the stories of her time, inspired meaningful conversation, sparked change, and encouraged others to do the same. Nature is a central element in her artistic practice. She incorporates depth of field, negative space, and contrast to create movement and energy within her pieces. Vibrant color is a defining characteristic of her work, with each composition designed to make viewers feel immersed in the experience, as though they can touch, smell, and taste the hues that bring her vision to life. |
