Speakers: Dr. Tayo Moss - Policy & Program Officer, Michigan Health Endowment Fund
Tayo Moss, Ph.D., serves as the Policy & Program Officer for the Michigan Health Endowment Fund, where he is dedicated to enhancing access to and the quality of health and wellness programs. With over 8 years of experience, Tayo has developed innovative health policies for underserved communities and managed the distribution of over $28 million in grant funding. His impact extends beyond policy development; during his tenure in the legislature, he collaborated with legislators and constituents to advance impactful health initiatives.
Tayo's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Kinesiology from Michigan State University, and his professional expertise spans various disciplines within health and policy, including health policy and regulations, legislation, government affairs, program management, grant management, lobbying, and research.
Prior to his current role, Tayo served in the Michigan House of Representatives as a policy advisor, focusing on health insurance and transportation. Before his legislative work, he was a contract and grant analyst for Michigan State University. Tayo also sits on the board of directors for the Sparrow Health System Foundation, where he plays a crucial role in the Health System's lifecycle by mobilizing resources and raising community awareness.
Tayo holds a bachelor's degree from Ferris State University, where he was a college football player (linebacker), and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Kinesiology from Michigan State University.
