Positive Coaching Alliance "Sports Can Battle Racism"

Discover how to foster an inclusive and supportive team environment in our upcoming session, "Curiosity & Honesty." Begin with courage and vulnerability as we create a space for sharing personal stories and learning from diverse perspectives. This will help you define what it means to build a caring climate where every player feels they belong. Dive into the history of sports as a powerful tool against discrimination, exploring key moments where activism led to positive change. Learn to apply these lessons to promote equity in your own sports community. Finally, gain practical skills to combat racism and drive change. Coaches will engage in real-life scenarios, learning actionable tools such as Planning a Neutralizing Routine, Calling In vs. Calling Out, and implementing Racism Interrupters. Join us to lead by example and make a meaningful impact on your team and community.

Key Highlights:

  • Increase consciousness of marginalized perspectives.
  • Define the history of sports being used as a tool to battle discrimination.
  • Explore ways to take action against racism and create changes within your community and on the teams you coach.
