WIRED: Women in Recreation Education & Development

The WIRED subcommittee provides professional development workshops and opportunities several times a year, typically during the Annual mParks Conference, as well as during the spring and fall.  

Previous Workshops Have Included:  
  • Fall 2017 - LeaderHERship Workshop - Longacre House, Farmington Hills  
  • Winter 2018 - Pre-Conference Session featuring Michigan's sitting Secretary of State, Detroit  
  • Spring 2018 - Raise Your Voice - A Public Speaking Workshop - Foster Center, Lansing
