mParks Student Focus Area

The mission of the Student Focus Area is to educate, expose and engage students in the field of parks and recreation. Our role is to promote student professional development through education, networking and immersion within the industry.

The Focus Area's role is to:
  • Provide workshops and education
  • Promote professional development among students
  • Provide opportunities for students to get involved in the field
  • Provide the opportunity for the exchange of information regarding current trends, issues, and topics important to students
  • Create and foster professional networking opportunities

The 2018 mParks Conference & Trade Show is taking place in Detroit, February 6-9.

Volunteering is a great way for students to network with professionals in the field, meet other students, explore career opportunities in the field, and sit on educational sessions.
