Scholarship Opportunities

In recognition of the importance of fostering the next generation of parks and recreation professionals, the mParks Foundation is pleased to offer scholarships to students pursuing degrees in the Parks and Recreation field. These funds are made possible through the Hillsdale Community Foundation.

2016 Awards:

Herbert Jennings mParks Hall of Fame Memorial Scholarship ($1,000)
The purpose of this fund is to provide a $1,000.00 renewable scholarship to a full time college student who is a Michigan resident, attending an accredited four-year college or university in Michigan and a child or grandchild of a Michigan Recreation and Park Association Professional Member. Preference will be given to a student majoring in Parks and/or Recreation.

Rob Nagle Memorial Scholarship ($1,500)
The purpose of this fund is to provide an annual renewable scholarship to a full time college student who is a Michigan resident, attending a four year college or university in Michigan and majoring in Parks and/or Recreation. Preference will be given to a son or daughter of a member of the Michigan Recreation and Park Association.
